Michael Lehan, principal of Osseo Senior High, will be awarded the High School Principal of the Year for the Hennepin Division by the Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP). He is one of eight administrators from across the state to receive this recognition each representing different divisions.
The award honors administrators who have successfully demonstrated an ability to collaborate with teachers and other staff members to improve the educational program and student achievement as well as foster a positive school climate that reflects high staff and student morale.
“I am overwhelmingly humbled by this acknowledgement we collectively received,” said Principal Michael Lehan. “The award is symbolic of the collective work of our staff, scholars and community.”
Six Osseo Senior High scholars collaborated on the nomination for this award. Lehan will receive the award on June 19 at the MASSP summer conference.
“This award speaks to the transformative work that a collective group of individuals can accomplish,” added Lehan.
